      I am back with most important information of disease which occurs in 1 million people per year in India... 

With awareness and it's information, we can prevent it and if happen we can live better life with it.....

                                AIDS 

Commonly heard by people and dangerous disease right?? 

The people with AIDS are discarded from society.. Right...? 

They thought if they talk,they will also get the disease.. 

AIDS patient is considered character less in society.. right? 

            

The blog is about information and awareness about AIDS... 

Firstly, get full formof acronym.... 

             

          A-Acquired means to obtain 

          I-Immuno means the system in body to fight disease

          d-Deficiency  means to lack

          S-Syndrome  means a group of symptoms 

Where there is a disease there is culprit to cause it... .

                                     

                              Here culprit is HIV

                   Human Immunodeficiency Virus

The virus damages immune system of body... .

The virus can live in body for life long.... 

HIV and AIDS are different thing.... .With only HIV positive test not causes AIDS untill ones body immune system get weak due to other disease... .Like cancer.... 

It is spread via

• Vaginal sex or anal  sex
  
• Sharing needles, syringes for piercing, tattoos.. Etc.. 
• Getting stuck with needle that HIV infected blood
  
• Getting HIV infected blood, semen, urovaginal fluids into open cuts or sores in body. 
• Breast milk to baby..(HIV cannot cross the barrier which is between mother and unborn child i. e placental barrier.. If mommy is healthy...) 
  

It is NOT spread via saliva,i.e..kissing, sharing food or drinks, sharring same fork or spoon

It is NOT spread via hugging, holding hands, coughing or sneezing or from toilet seat etc.. 

How do one know about he or she is infected by HIV...

                

                  Symptoms 

* Flu like symptoms.,fever,achy and sick

You have that symptoms and might not get symptoms for years but it can spread to people either you are sick or not. 

HIV destroys CD4 and T cells 

Which protects body from disease. 

AIDS occurs when you had opportunistic infection like TB ,cancer

HIV convert to AIDS might took 10years. 

Symptoms of AIDS.

• A thick white coating of tongue

• Bad yeast infections
• Pelvic inflammatory disease 
• Feeling tired,dizzy,and light headed 
• Headaches 
• Loosing lot of weight quickly 
• Diahorea ,night sweats for long time 
• Deep, dry cough
• Feeling short of breath 
• Bleeding nose, mouth
• Numbness in hands, feet
• Loosing strength of muscles

Most age affected is 19-40 years

Blood test is only way of diagnosis.. People came to know when they donate blood or  when regular blood test is done. 

Treatment is only antiviral drugs and treatment of consequence symptoms.. .

Life expectancy is about 11 years after having AIDS.. 

*  Prevention can be done... 

• Safe sex with condoms.. 
• Needle exchange after test person to person 
• Pre prophalyxis and post prophylaxis of HIV.
