BECOME A FIRST DOCTOR-FIRST AID

Hello Friends,

Here I am starting the awareness of medicine world which are helpful in day to day life. Some topics
in medical world are too important and useful for us.

FIRST AID

FIRST AID IS ASSISTANCE GIVEN TO A PERSON SUFFERING FROM INJURY OR ILLNESS.

 AID MEANS HELP

There are 3 P'S of first aid

                    P-Preserve Life
                    P-Prevent Further Injury
                    P-Promote Recovery

Various conditions in our daily life need first help......

1.BLEEDING

I warn that mild bleeding can control by first aid but very high bleeding needs IMMEDIATE medical assistance.

  •  Cover the wound with Gauze and keep area for bleeding in anti gravity position.
  • Give direct pressure on wound to stop bleeding.
  • Bandage area with various layers.

2.BURNS

Treatment depends on area and depth of burns but first is must to stop chemical process of burns in body.
  • Flush the running water on burn area(do not apply ice leads to frostbite)
  • Apply gauze layers with not much pressure and bandaged it,
  • Do not apply butter, oil,or any ointments etc.without consult of doctor.
  • Can take pain killers.
If blister is form do not break it.

3.FRACTURES

We can give first aid until x-ray is obtained.
  •  Don't try to straighten the part.
  • Stabilize it with splint.

  • Put cold packs on bandage part not directly.
  • Elevate the part.

4.Frequently occuring SPRAINS
  • P-Protect the part
  • R-Rest the part
  • I-Ice application
  • C-Compression of part
  • E-Elevate the part up to heart level
Consult the doctor for further diagnosis.

 5.NOSE BLEEDING
  •  Lean forward.
  • Pinch nose just below bridge.
  • Watch for 5 minutes repeat the process if not stop.
  • Don't put head down and pour water ,it can worsen bleeding.
  • Apply ice below bridge.

6.CARDIAC ARESST
Name suggest heart stop to pump blood.

SYMPTOMS(WHAT NON MEDICO OR MEDICO FIRST WATCH)
  1.  Locate pain area, around chest, left arm ,left side of upper body
  2. Shortness of Breath
  3. No feeling of pulse
4 to 5 hours are golden period for cardiac arrest patient to reach hospital.

CPR(CARDIO-PULMONARY RESUSCITATION)IS FIRST AID FOR CARDIAC ARESST.

1 MAINTAIN BLOOD FLOW VITAL ORGANS(BRAIN AND HEART)
2 MAINTAIN AIR FLOW i.e., RESPIRATION.

ITS A LONG PROCESS .I WILL CONTINUE IN NEXT BLOG.

THANK YOU FRIENDS...
